Zaamin Group and Khudi Wellness Mark International Day of Older Persons at Aaghosh Home
KARACHI: Zaamin Group Chairman Kashif Shah and Managing Director Sarwat Nasim Shah, founders of Khudi Wellness, marked the International Day of Older Persons with a visit to Aaghosh Home Trust, where they spent time with elderly shelterless women and orphan girls with physical and intellectual disabilities.
During the visit, Kashif Shah and Sarwat Nasim Shah met with residents and listened to their personal stories, experiences and challenges. They showed particular interest in the journeys of elderly women from educational, professional and medical backgrounds and learned about the circumstances that had brought them to Aaghosh Home.
Speaking to the residents, Kashif Shah encouraged senior citizens to remain positive and engaged, emphasizing that their knowledge, skills and life experiences can continue to benefit younger generations and society.
Sarwat Nasim Shah appreciated the humanitarian work of Aaghosh Trust and expressed her commitment to supporting initiatives focused on the care and wellbeing of its residents.
The couple also acknowledged Aaghosh Trust President Shagufta Saba, along with the trustees and management, for their efforts to provide shelter, care, protection and dignity to elderly women in need.
As part of the visit, Kashif Shah and Sarwat Nasim Shah presented a donation cheque to Aaghosh Trust to support the welfare and care of elderly residents. They also expressed their intention to maintain their association with the organization and visit the Home again.
The visit highlighted the significance of respecting and supporting senior citizens, listening to their experiences and ensuring that elderly people without adequate family support or shelter can live their later years with care, respect and dignity.
